📢 Xiaowen Wang | SOT 2026

Attending the Society of Toxicology (SOT) Annual Meeting 2026 for the first time was such a meaningful experience for Xiaowen, and she is feeling incredibly grateful and excited reflecting on last week.

Xiaowen had the opportunity to present her work on integrating a physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model with intra-arterial drug delivery (I-ADD) for brain tumor therapy, in collaboration with Dr. Zagha’s Lab.
 

She was also honored to receive the following recognitions:
🏆 Drug Discovery Toxicology Specialty Section-Society of Toxicology (DDTSS-SOT) Student Abstract Award (3rd Place)
🏆 BMSS Honorable Mention
 

This experience would not have been possible without the support and mentorship of her PI, Dr. Wei-Chun Chou. Xiaowen is deeply grateful for his guidance throughout this journey. She also wants to thank her lab members, Alexa Canchola, Awot George, Keyuan Li, and Harshitha Nandula, for making this experience even more rewarding.

What made SOT especially memorable for Xiaowen was the community. She had the chance to learn from fellow graduate students and connect with researchers across academia, industry, government, and pharmaceutical science. These conversations gave her new ideas, valuable encouragement, and a broader perspective on future career path.
